Jordan Academy of Language & Computer Science PTA

Students may submit original work in one or more of the following categories:

• Visual Arts (drawing, painting, 3D art)
• Photography
• Literature
• Music Composition
• Dance Choreography
• Film Production

Each entry must include:

• A title
• An artist’s statement explaining how their work relates to the theme

All entries are due by Friday, October 3rd, 2025

Reflections, hosted by the National PTA, promotes the importance of art in education. Through creative expression, students build confidence, develop a love for learning, and gain skills that help them thrive in all areas of life.

All students are encouraged to join and enjoy the many benefits of participating:

• Unleash their creative talents and be inspired
• Express themselves through original artwork
• Experience the joy and fun of making art
• Tap into critical thinking skills as they interpret the theme
• Receive positive recognition for their efforts

Students will be judged within their grade-level division:

• Primary: Pre-K – 2nd grade
• Intermediate: 3rd – 5th grade
• Middle School: 6th grade
• Accessible Arts: Open to all grades

Our reviewers will select top artists in each category and division. These winners will advance to the district level, with the chance to move on to Fourth District PTA. Just like four of our talented Jordan students did last year!

Art is such a powerful way for kids to express who they are. Whether they draw, paint, write, dance, compose music, or take photos this is their time to shine. All artist work will be displayed and celebrated, and most importantly, they’ll feel proud of what they’ve created. I hope parents encourage their child to take this opportunity to get inspired this summer and be part of something meaningful.
